There are 2 ways to hook up the FirmHose to your Sand Filter.
1, Replace the existing barb end (which is on your sand filter) with Connector C.
2, Keep the existing barb end and connect the FirmHose without Cam/Groove fitting.

Disconnect the barb end fitting
Replace it with Connector C
Lock Connector B to Connector C
2, Keep existing barb-end
2, Keep existing barb-end
Remove connector B from FirmHose
Put the FirmHose to the existing barb-end connector
Tighten the stainless steel clamps
